Maison Gabriel Meffre finds inspiration thanks to O-I: EXPRESSIONS

Schiedam -- Maison Gabriel Meffre, a Rhône Valley  winery established in 1936 in Gigondas, has launched a whole new range of rosé with an innovative concept: the wine has been specially produced by its oenologist, Véronique Torcolacci, around a "tailor-made blend" of the vineyard’s emblematic grape varieties and for the design of the packaging, the House wanted to think outside the box by designing a unique bottle to encourage collection.

Maison Gabriel Meffre wanted to offer a new experience to its consumers by creating the "Inspiration" range. To achieve this, it has developed a radically new packaging concept in partnership with glass maker O-I: a highly graphic, raised decoration inspired by Provencal patterns creates an incomparable bottle with an ultra-chic appearance. The design is available in six colors to create a collectable range. Everything was made possible thanks to the innovation, O-I: EXPRESSIONS RELIEF.

From the outset, the House showed a desire to translate its values ​​into wine: quality, freshness, elegance, and … innovation in the design of the bottle. This is why Maison Gabriel Meffre called on O-I: EXPRESSIONS RELIEF, the O-I personalization service capable of printing patterns and 3D effects on glass. Designers at O-I used the service to develop an iconic, raised and tactile graphic motif.

The resulting engraving on the bottle is particularly successful with its combination of transparency and color. It gives the bottle an assertive, premium appearance and its tactile effect creates an instant emotional connection between the consumer, the product and the packaging.

Called "Inspiration by Gabriel Meffre", the series offers rosé in a bottle available in six colors, forming a case with a very collectable style. The O-I EXPRESSIONS production line, located in Chazelles-sur-Lyon (Loire, France), manufactures the six colors simultaneously and creates a random color mix in the case. Thus, each case is unique, for an all-encompassing "discovery effect"!

The "Inspiration" collection has already experiencing its first success, winning first prize at the Pink Design Awards in Cannes. It has also won over several export markets (including The Netherlands and Denmark), where consumers can find it in stores in the spring.
